We like music at ours!
Can you get a guest who's written a book or some such?

CM, I would PM you but what's the big secret? Can't you let everyone know what BLY does for Rosh Chodesh? Are BLY gatheings only open to members?

If there is "no big secret", post under your own name.

Ok every month we have:
A featured guest such as this month someone to teach Israeli dancing, mizrach saign the following month , scrap book another month. Idea of having guest is two fold 1. they bring others that would not normally come 2. In most cases they sponsor their time and supplys so no expense there though not always.
It is hosted at a different persons home every month so again, new faces plus host feels special sharing her home plus in most cases she will buy the paper goods. The food we buy to avoid kashus concerns this is for our Berachos Seder which we do in order of the Berachos etc and pronouncing A[GVideo]men after each participant makes a beracha on that particular food. On avarage we get between 15-20 women.
A Dvar torah, incl a recipe, and quote for the month.
Also we have just incorporated this year ' split the pot' so we ask whoever comes if they want to buy for that evening a 5.00 raffle ticket and half of the proceeds goes to tzedakah and half to the winner . We plan on doing this monthly it is not compulsory but we feel it will be fun and this way we all win.
Hope some of these ideas can help you Hatzlacha [/GVideo]
