did you find a place?
the test is being given on August 16th I think.
e mail to:
summerschool@schools.nyc.gov
tell them your son's name, address and date of birth.
write that he attends a non public school and the name and address of the Yeshiva.
tell them which regent he wants to take and specify that you are open to any of the areas you mentioned, not only your own zip code.
ask them to find you a space in a public school. Label your e mail "time sensitive" since it is close to the test date already.
You will get an automatic reply. E mail them again since there is not much time. I sent 5 e mails, and they responded after one week with the name and address of a school and the principal's e mail address.
the law is that any NY state student can walk into any public school where the test is being offered and take the exam but it's best to assure that there is room in advance.
Hatzlacha!
