We are in Lakewood but we have interest in going to the tri state are or even Pennsylvania

Not sure which is the closest to you but most science centers offer reciprocal membership to other science centers. The one caveat is that they don't usually allow access to other museums within 90 miles.
Look into liberty science centers or Franklin institute

Same ideas with children's museums

Again check exact details. They got more strict in both types of Museums about how many people they let in etc

For those in NYC, getting a NYCid can get you a lot of free 1-year memberships around NY. Separately, double check this, but I believe there's membership that gets one access to a few zoos/parks in NYC.
