I would use "except".
But you are leaving out the context, so my help is limited.

I guess it depends who you sent it to. Did you send it to a prospective employer? Not good. Did you send in during an exchange while applying to be a grammer teacher? Really not good. If you sent it while communicating with a store while trying to buy something, then no big deal. What were the circumstances?

1. People make grammatical mistakes all the time.

2. I'm more concerned that you find this so embarrassing.

As an attorney whose entire job hinges on writing well... you are totally overreacting.

Language changes. As long as you were understood, it's fine.

Also on that note, I'm tired of the grammar police who complain about texting U and UR and whatever. The point of language is to be understood.

There's ZERO reason to be embarrassed.

"Aside from" would have been better here. And you needed a comma after "bread" if you really want to be proper.

Really. Unless the word means something else (too to two they're their there), whatever grammar mistake you're worried about is probably no big deal.

Also, many people still stick with the basic grammar rules they learned in 4th grade even if those rules no longer apply. For example, it's fine to start a sentence with And or But. Ending with a preposition is sometimes okay. Irregardless is actually a word. Etc.

Also it is totally elitist to criticize people's communication in this picayune way. Just sayin' Smile

You might possibly have expressed yourself more elegantly.
Absolutely no reason to be embarrassed though.
Irregardless of low self esteem or other issues.
Give yourself a pat on the back for sending the message in the first place.
And move on!

"...you used it wrong," is also incorrect.

"...you used it incorrectly," would be the right way.

OP if you are especially concerned about grammar, I recently saw an ad for a product called Grammarly. it checks your grammar when typing, all over the internet. there's a free version,

https://app.grammarly.com

it's helped me catch and learn a lot of little mistakes. with me, I always put commas where they don't go, bc I put a comma nearly every time I stop typing

Here's someone who writes pretty well but misspells grammar.
Also should be to whom you sent it. But even if you don't care about ending a sentence with a preposition, you can no more say "who you sent it to" than you would say "you sent it to she".
