I have started doing low carb recently and our food bill is getting much higher. Any ideas of how to eat low carb and not be spending so much on chicken and meat?

Don't purchase more chicken and meat. Eat protein from non meat sources.

Eggs
Tuna
Canned Salmon on sale (check Walmart and Big Lots)
Make sure you use all parts of the chicken
Chicken bones for broth
Skin microwaves crunchy for crumbled topping on top of salads.
Are you trying to get into ketosis?
Don't go cheap on your healthy fats though

Eggs. Canned tuna and canned pink salmon. Buy the cheapest chicken possible. Where I live that's whole uncut chicken. In other places it could be leg quarters.

Also soups lie chicken or beef soup really stretch your meat. Plus use bones for making the broth and cook long and low

Can you do beans and legumes? I lost a lot of weight once eating low carb and a lot of chickpeas, lentil soups, and bean burgers.

I eat chicken or ground beef for dinner only. Lunch is fish (tuna or salmon) and breakfast is eggs.

Too much protein is not good for weight loss on low-carb since there's something called gluconeogenesis where your body turns excess protein into glucose. Keep it to 4-6 oz per meal.
