I am looking to purchase a ring for my daughter and a pendant necklace for myself.
I am not sure where to start...If anyone ordered costume jewelry from AliExpress before, can you post a link so I know which sellers are safe to buy from?
TIA

I don't suggest going with Aliexpress, ebay is much better. You can get the same prices.
They both are a website that has private sellers.
The difference between the two is that if someone on Aliexpress rips you off or steals your info, aliexpress does not care.

On ebay- they will do something about it.

Do aliexpress private sellers get your information? I thought that aliexpress takes the money and forwards it to them

Sellers don't have access to your information.

http://activities.aliexpress.c.....s.php AND THIS

I think they can scam you though. Meaning sell you something bad, or it never show up and aliexpress will do nothing unlike ebay.

If you make a claim within the given time slot, you will get your money back. If you make your claim to late, forget about it

I've had many issues with aliexpress orders, and only some of them did they do something about. I had proof of something that used a stock photo from a different website and they made a counterfeit replica that didn't match up to the stock photo, I uploaded evidence, did the whole process in reasonable time countless times and was told I didn't show evidence. I gave up, disputed with my CC and got my money back and have not shopped again on aliexpress. I'd go the eBay option as well.

Do know that with costume jewelry on the cheap end, the metal may start discoloring, things will break easily, etc...but for the price you pay, you may not care Smile

Please be careful of buying inexpensive costume jewelry from overseas. As found with toys and jewelry in the past there is the chance of lead, cadmium and other heavy metal exposure.

I've gotten nice things on Overstock.com and kohls.com
Though recently I got a pair of earrings from Kohls I can't wear.

- good point, but isn't almost everything made in China these days?

I buy jewelry from Aliexpress all the time. Some of it has broken right away, others lasted well, so it's always a gamble.

When I am happy with an item, I know that I can generally trust that seller.
Here are some sellers I had a good experience with (obviously, no guarantee though):

Just bought this for 5 y.o. dd. It's the right size for her, and pretty much how it looks in the picture. If it lasts a month, I got my money's worth. If it lasts longer, I consider it an unexpected surprise.

I've spent more on cheap junk from children's place, gap and others
