why dont 2 yr olds have a clue what to do when you point at something? They totally dont understand to follow your finger!

My husband is the same way, and he hasn't been two for decades. I point and he always looks around, like, "huh?"

amother, I was wondering the same thing earlier TODAY! My son is smart, picks ideas, words etc up very quickly, but for some reason whenever I point to something for him to pick up or look at, he looks all around not knowing where I'm pointing to.
Strange concept, but apparently normal!

Considering that I dont know every 2 yr old, and there are many of them I cant say for sure. But I have met plenty who cant do it.
