My elderly grandmother lives alone in Israel. Our family is worried and feel it is unsafe. Can anyone give a ballpark estimate on how much a 24/7 live in aid will cost? Thanks.

If you are using an agency in Jerusalem that hires legal workers, pays Bituach Leumi etc you can be looking at $1800 a month. It can be much less if you hire someone on your own, and I imagine illegal workers charge much less. Be aware that Bituach Leumi often covers part of the cost of home care, and she can probably get a sherut leumi girl to come help once a week for free.
