I had braces around 15 years ago. Then, I got a retainer. I am noticing a small shifting in my bottom teeth because I don't wear the retainer anymore.
Even though my top teeth shift, I still can wear the retainer to help shift it back.
But, my retainer for my bottom teeth broke.
Do I go back to an orthodontist for a new retainer?? Or, is it not worth it??
I am more concerned about cavities as my teeth shifting means food/bacteria can get stuck in places where it should not.
Please advise me.
Thanks.

Your ortho should have records to be able to order another retainer for the bottom.

I just asked the dentist about that. The options are braces, Invisalign, or a new retainer.

Thanks for the replies. I live far from my orthodontist I used.
However I guess ill have to pay for a new retainer ....cheaper than getting a filling ....
