I’m a new Mommy.
My oldest daughter turned 2 in Feb.
When do I need to apply for schools?
I’m a BYHS if BP grad and went to Vien elementary in BP.
My husband is a Monsey boy who went to Bais Dovid. He has no Sisters so that won’t help...
We are Heimish though not shtreimel wearing.
My sheitel extends a few inches below my shoulder and I drive so most of the Chassidish schools wouldn’t be a good fit.
We don’t have TV. We don’t do movies.
We do enjoy ballgames but would be fine with a school that wouldn’t be comfortable with kids going — it’s not like it’s a must for us.
We generally go by the “rules” of a place.
If I lived in BP, Vien would be a perfect fit for me. Where oh where can I send here?
Bais Rochel is way too full and probably would not take me even though we are Frum, ehrlich, have a Rov & dress aidel and normal.

A new school is opening called Kesser Bais Yakov. It will be similar to Bais Rochel. Rabbi Reich from Ohr Sameach and Rabbi Mashinsky from Bais Dovid will be "running it".
Also, Rabbi Gold the English principal of Bais Dovid opened a girls school this year called Ohel Sarah. Look into these two. They are new and you have better chances of getting into a new place. Both are being run by wonderful people.
You may need to apply after Succos for your daughter.

Bas Mikroh or BY Chofetz Chaim might be a good fit for you. Maybe Bais shifra miriam, but it's pretty much chassidish by now. But none of these schools have nurseries.
Kesser Bais Yaakov will end up being a regular chassidish school.

Why will Kesser Bais Yaakov end up being a regular chassidish school?

You mean to say that in Bais Rochel and Bas Mikra, chassidish people have not applied? How do you know?

Bais Shifra Miriam doesn’t allow new mothers to drive. They also prefer that sheitels be around shoulder length or an inch past it max....
