I hear what you are all saying, and a lot of it is interesting and sooo true.

Um, not to trigger anyone or anything, but, like I literally don't see what the issue is with all of these words. I think our generation totally needs more acceptance and less things that drive us apart. Anywaaaaay, I know this is a little pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovalcanoconeosis for mere mortals, but what bothers me waaaay more is the lack of PC-ness in our generation.

I just have to ask for a small favor- say all the random words you want, as long as they can't be misconstrued in a way that might offend someone.

If you don't get what I mean, then whatever. I could care less.

Good night!

I hope hope hope you write for a living!

My favorite way of torturing my DD is to use "teen speak" around her.
She's all "Mom, no. Just, NO. Don't." LOL

If I'm feeling especially evil, then I'll do a disco dance. Dancing Dancing Dancing

I'm totally you! I love love LOVE embarrassing my daughters when we shop together! We can be in Nordstrom and I'll pick up a really tacky orange plastic shoe and be, "Hey, this would go perfect with your orange dress, the one with the zipper down the front?" or I'll find an outfit that a parrot vomited feathers onto and hold it against me in front of them... It's hysterical...
They're fierce warriors though. And they know it. They just walk to the hat department and come at me wearing the most hideous hats imaginable and call me "Mom!" from across the store.... Each wearing a hat worse than the other... They always win!

I end up blushing furiously while they strut their stuff as other people compliment them on their 'in your face' taste..

You don't sound smarter, lady.. You're misusing a thesaurus.

Haha! And when people do things "in lieu of" things...

"In lieu of Mishloach Manos, we have donated a Parah Adumah to the future Beis Hamikdash."

Thanks, guys. Just, thanks.

While you're at it, can you name a star after me? I'll look out for it tonight...

I love most words.
I like listening to people.
I tolerate it when the latter play with or abuse the former in casual speech.
I forgive people their verbal tics and mangled semantics.
I enjoy using polysyllabic words when more diminutive ones would suffice, especially facetiously.

However, beware my ogreish inner literary critic. She awakens and explodes in mumbles and eye-rolls when faced with grammatical or factual errors in what poses as literature these days.

1. Woke.
As in, I can't believe she made that racist comment, I thought she was woke.

2. AF.
G-d forbid the media just use an adjective, like adorable, angry, crazy. No, now we see "adorable AF". "Angry AF". "Crazy AF"

I think I need to read different magazines Smile
