Whats your gripe with blondes?????????

I have a couple of them and I feel they are as smart as their brunette counterparts Exclamation

I'd rather somone say they had a duh moment, then a blonde one Confused

I mean don't be like a worker who blames his tools Rolling Eyes

Personally I wouldn't care b/c at the moment my hair color is neigther
( lets not go further then this Twisted Evil

But for all those true ones , well it's not very nice Tongue Out

I've seen as many dumb brunettes as I've seen dumb blondes.
I think it's such a silly stereotype that has been around for years.
We have quite a few blondes in my family and my best friend is blonde and they are outright smart (clever, if you're british!!! Wink

) people.

There are dumb blondes, smart blondes, pretty blondes, not-pretty blondes, fat blondes, skinny blondes. Sounds familiar, huh??? Because this is the case in all groups and categories. There are all types all over.

First of all, I AM a blond.

Second, I consider myself fairly smart. But like most of us, I had a headdesk moment and wanted to share.

And finally, if you have an issue with the words I choose in my posts, PM me and let me know. Believe it or not I'm NOT a mind reader and I don't appreciate being given a public 'stern finger shaking' when clearly my intentions were innocent.

That's also a stereotype lol. There are as many ugly blondes as pretty ones. Personally I love Dark hair and blue eyes but doesn't mean everyone with this combination is HOT. There are many dark-haired blue-eyed people that are totally not hot.

blondes are universally considered to be more ditzy. maybe they are overall more ditzy cuz they know that since theyre blonde, they can get away with it...just kidding whatever
anyhow I think that blondes are often pretty, but I do prefer dark hair and either dark eyes or light eyes. but definitely dark hair over blonde. though I think a lot of guys prefer blondes-? maybe not. well hey my dh prefers dark hair, naturally... Tongue Out

There was a poll on that, but it was a long time ago... I was it said 60% liked brunettes, 30% liked blondes, 1% like redhead and others liked other colours.

I think the expression comes from women who dye their hair blonde. Maybe the women who are fake blondes tend to be ditzier.

Obviously there's no correlation between genuine hair color and intelligence.

My kids are blonde, I am not. They are not offened by silly blonde jokes,however they are offended by expressions such as "[crazy]". That is just offensive.
