Ummm.... not everyone is lucky enough to be a SAHM. So there are plenty of other things mothers are busy with aside from housework and childcare.
(Not saying that neglecting your kids and household is okay, just pointing out that many of us can be busy enough the entire day without any of it.)

It’s not just about the mom being too busy etc...often it’s undiagnosed depression or untreated depression, the mom just isn’t functioning the way she’s needs to be because she can’t.
