Has anyone done this successfully? Do the sprinkles bleed into the frosting when you defrost?

The sprinkles do bleed into the frosting when they defrost. You can freeze them frosted and add sprinkles once they're defrosted.

I've frozen sprinkle cupcakes before, but I've never paid attention to what happened to the frosting. Are these cupcakes that you need to look very presentable, or are the just for the family?
