Can anyone tell me if it is normal for my 15 year old daughter to be interested in wearing drawstring push up bras with no back?
From a chassidishe home.
She claims it will make her feel better about herself cuz it will be closer together.
I'm scratching my head.

Sounds like it could go both ways, it might be a red flag but it may just be peer pressure. Is she small?

In a chassidish girls school this would not be a pressure/ concept

I had to google to understand what a drawstring bra is.
It seems like it's something intended for a push-up effect when wearing a backless dress, or something cut very low in the back.
So I'm left wondering: Why would a 15-year-old chassidish girl need such a garment? Wouldn't a regular bra be simpler, more comfortable, and easier to find and fit?

It only takes 1 girl exposed to a concept to spread. You never know if it was someone at school. There's like 30 girls in her class, it happens..
I say it needs to be looked into, it might be a red flag, and it might not be.

Keep an eye on this, and her in general. Who are her friends, where does she spend her free time, is she where she says she is, does she have access to communication abilities that you are not aware of.
Where did she hear of this?

For doing other things, in the wrong crowd etc. Anything really, it's just not regular common behavior for a young chassidish woman to even think of such things, so the question is where it's coming from.
