If you shop at Staples and aren't a Staples Rewards member, consider joining. Every month or so they email me a $5 coupon to use in store. I just received one for $5 off of any cleaning product, but most aren't product specific, just require a purchase of $5 or more. I also recently received 2-$5 coupons by mail to use on school supplies.
Sometimes I also get coupons on my receipt for $5 off $30 or similar amounts.
These coupons are the best way to get free items at Staples now that the Staples Easy Rebates program has ended. I've read that Staples does accept manufacturer coupons, and allows them to be combined with store coupons, though I don't remember using them.
