I'll start. I started with iced decaf and a plum. Then dd got home and we had an elaborate pasta salad she made with feta and roasted corn. More iced decaf and water. Then I wanted popcorn. And sugar snap peas. Am I the only one who grazes like this after a fast? I feel as if everyone I talk to has one cohesive healthy meal and calls it quits.

Coffee and cake

And then we washed and sat down to a full Yom Tov meal - as is our custom: challah and dips, fish, soup with kreplach, chicken, kugel, ferfel and strawberry cobbler. All leftovers from the Erev YK meal.

Wow do you really have the appetite for that after a long fast?

Also to coffee drinkers, do you still fall asleep at a normal time?

I didn't eat a lot, just a little of everything.

I actually had a hot cocoa, while DH had 2 coffees. He never gets affected by the caffeine.

Sleepytime tea with honey, bagel with cream cheese and scrambled eggs, small bowl of pesto pasta, some pretzels, and now I am considering a coffee ice cream bar.

I overate...

Chocolate chip blondies
Honey cookie
Powerade
This was eaten as I was busy preparing food and serving everyone else who fasted

Then I washed and sat down for a meal-

1/2 onion roll with cream cheese
Eggs with sautéed veggies and melted cheese
Lukshen cheese kugel
Coffee with Splenda and almond milk
Few more cups of Powerade
Another blondie

Later I ate a pineapple ices on a popsicle stick

I was busting 2 hours ago but now I’m hungry again.... not the kind of hunger that I felt at the end of the fast so I’m not giving in!

I also know people who have a full meal with soup, chicken, etc and I can't even imagine doing that. Just the thought of it would turn my stomach. We have bagels, cream cheese, lox, tuna, some of us also have eggs, and we also put out a few cakes. Oh, we also had leftover pizza that got gobbled up. Very Happy

I had 2 cups of coffee and I wasn't up much later than usual.
