So a bird just flew into the house. Took us a while to get it out (it even went upstairs).
Anyway I have this vague recollection that a bird in the house is a good omen or something. Anyone heard of this?

Don’t even ask.
I don’t know about a bird in the house.
But my mother used to say if a bird took care of its bodily functions on your clothes, if it dropped a present on you flying overhead, that meant good things were coming your way.
If you ever heard of that let me know.

I had a hummingbird come into my house once, and shortly after my business income went way up. I never thought the two might be connected, but it's a cool thought.

FF, quick, go open all your doors and windows and hang a bird feeder from your light fixture!

Heh. I've heard that. I always assumed it was to make one feel better that they have nasty stuff on their clothes (or hair, as happened to me  )

Does it count if the cat brought the bird inside? (Don't worry, the bird was ok and got out - yes, we have a bell on the cat). Maybe the cat will bring me parnassah...
