It looks like I'll be leasing a car (can't afford to put down a lump some so not buying atm) and from reading older threads I see that insurance is higher on a leased car.
I'm curious: about how much higher is the insurance on a leased car?
Thanks!

when you call to get your insurance quotes - ask. You'll get an answer that is specific to your situation.

A bit off topic, but if you don't want to put down so much money - what about financing a car? That sometimes works out cheaper.
About insurance, sometimes newer cars are actually cheaper because they have more safety features. It really depends on the exact model, you would have to speak to an insurance agent. For example: I specifically priced 2 cars and a 2018 Toyota Corolla was expensive more than a 2018 Toyota Camry.

Full wrap around coverage on my leased honda crv 2016 is cheaper than coverage without collision on my toyota sienna 2006.
I asked my insurance company and they said new cars have better safety features.
