Are lawyers generally focused on being liked by the judge? Meaning, will they throw their client under the bus if that is what it takes to garner the judge's approval?

Because they dont know what they are doing and the judge has to protect their rights, etc. Time-consuming and not always pleasant. But the majority respect pro se clients as they understand that they may not have the means to hire an attorney.
