Not going to mom Shabbos afternoon. Learnt how to relax and read a book or go to a neighbor, both which are very healthy.

The biggest adjustment was carpool. Thinks are better now, some schoolls have full bussing and some have partial bussing.

BH kids adjusted in school quickly, I got myself a group of friends and it's really amazing for us BH.

Do you feel like you have more of a social life out there than Brooklyn?
It is easier to make friends?
Is there more of a sense of community? Is it dependent on having a good block?
Does your husband commute to the city or Brooklyn?
How far is your shul from your house?

Are you aware why houses in Toms River is so cheap? I did wonder. I asked and was told to Google "Toms River Cancer".

There was a lawsuit and settlement. I have heard that there was a
"clean up", but didnt see anything yet online.

This is interesting for me as I can relate. We moved away from the city to another offshoot of KJ. And we were the 6th family to move in (forth to buy) to our particular area. Now a year+ later there are 30+ people on our chat groups plus some more who don't have text/chose not to be part of it.
When we first moved in dh had to walk 40 minutes uphill under the scorching sun to get to shul. Now it's less than a 5 minutes walk. And we are kyh already outgrowing the space.
It's crazy! It's awesome!

Do you have a shul nearby? How was it for your kids to switch school?

(It was very important to choose a place to live before my kid stated kindergarten. We actually moved a mere few days before she started!)

Do you drive? If not, how do you manage with groceries and errands? Basically getting around....
Is uber big there (it is pretty big here. Bh for uber!!! And lyft)
