Mydaughter is 20 months old ka"h and whenever she gets a chance she eats dirt, mud, earth, sand, chalk, woodchips, sticks, crayons etc... I knowi ts crazy but I dont know wat else to do, I know many kids put things in their mouth but shes the only kid I know that actually chews it up and eats it, does anyone know anyone like this n if its any deficiency...???

I think you should let her doctor know about it.

I have not had experience with this, but I remember learning about something called PICA. I'm not suggesting that this is what your toddler has, but your doctor would be able to set your mind at ease. I think at this age, it is quite normal to try different things.

From a quick search:
Quote: | Pica
An eating disorder less often encountered by oral health professionals is pica. This disorder is typically defined as the compulsive eating of non-nutritive substances for a period of at least one month at an age for which this behavior is developmentally inappropriate (after age 18 to 24 months), and not a culturally sanctioned practice. |
