Does anyone else have a three yo kid that makes you crazy? Sure, I love him to death and he's a cutie, but sometimes he just drives me up the wall. Between his whining, demands, and not listening to me, sometimes I just lose it. I feel like the worst parent in the world, because I promised myself I wouldn't be "that" parent, who is constantly yelling at their children. Even though I do not do it ALL the time, I fell like I do it too often. I just lose my patience. Do 3 yo children normally listen to their parents, or is it just mine that doesn't listen? He almost never listens the first time, when I ask him nicely. Either it ends up being a whole fight or I have to threaten to take s/t away. I hate that I have to do it this way, but how else do you get them to LISTEN???

Mine's 2 yeays old but I have the same situation. I'm trying to find a good parenting book cuz how you react and deal with a situation is what teaches a child how to react, cope and treat you. Children need to be formed into civilized human beings.
