Hi,
I'm looking for a quick salad to throw together for dinner tonight. Preferably something w/ romaine, spinach, or plain iceberg lettuce mix.
Anything simple without too many ingredients... a sweet kind (mb w/ a fruit) sounds good...

I make this every night....
I use either romaine or spinach
I add to the lettuce depending what I have in the house - usually tomatoes and cucumbers but sometimes I add hearts of palm and canned mandarin oranges.
1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup olive oil
tsp salt
1/8 cup sugar

lettuce, mandarin orange slices (canned), rasins, red onions, toasted almonds.
Toss with olive oil and balsamic vinegar and a bit of the juice from the can, salt and pepper.

Turkey Roll strips

I do this same salad only with a totally different dressing (and sometimes sunflower seeds in place of almonds). I mix more or less equal parts mayo and honey, a dash of salt and a little lemon juice to thin it out. Very sweet and delicious.
