I was by Boro Park Pediatrics and they put up a sign that they are stopping to take United Healthcare Community Plan. They said all the doctors in Boro Park are stopping to take it because they are cutting their rates.

My friend who goes to Dr. Adler (Segula Pediatrics) said he stopped taking it over 3 months ago.

I'm wondering why they are cutting the rates. Are you going to switch your kids to another practice or switch insurance?

Because they can, and they're greedy. Their rates weren't great to begin with.

Empire bcbs has a Medicaid plan. I'm on it. So Ill first consider that then I'll see where I'll actually end up. Hip/hib is also an option.

We've been on blue cross blue shield child health plus for years but they switched their dental subplan to liberty and our pediatric dentist won't accept that. So we lost our dentist because we need to stay on blue cross for a specific medication! No dentist we called is accepting liberty and if they are they aren't taking new patients. The dentist that liberty assigned us to (and is getting a set amount for our kids each month - pennies, I know, but still) refuses to see us as they say they're full.
So we're going to have to start paying cash for dental visits.

My obgyn and pharemcist stopped taking it, but they both told me that they're trying to get back on and that UHC knocked them off. So it might not be about the rates.

My children's insurance company says bluecross blueshield. It's not through medicaid. I pay their premium through child health plus

I have Fidelis for last couple of years. Our dentist Dr Sapir takes it. Our pediatrician takes it and it has paid for specialists at NYU.

Had a great experience with them

Which pediatrician do you use? I’m actually thinking of changing to Fidelis because I can get my kids voice therapy on it but need a pediatrician that accepts it too
