I am reporting my post because I want Yael to approve (or disapprove) this idea.
There are so many great ladies here, and I think it would be so nice to start a book club forum (private group or open, whichever). I gave this some thought and here is how it could work technically speaking.
We start a thread where everyone suggests genres. I am going for an eclectic book club, where we aren’t afraid to try out new genres and get out of our comfort zone. Mix it up, all genres welcome, both non-fiction and fiction.
Then accordingly we start each month (or season) with a different genre. Genre is announced in thread where everyone gives suggestions. Suggestions can be secular, but clean enough. My definition of clean enough would be no explicit scenes or inappropriate thematic elements.
We then do a poll of suggestions, and winning book is the book of the month. Book is announced last week of month so we have time to get it for next month.
First of the month we start a thread on book, spoilers allowed, and share our thoughts!
What do you guys think?

Love the idea.

Would it be possible to write about a book that one is reading at the moment, even if it were not the designated book of the month? Or would it be disruptive?
