My mil gave me flax seeds and have no idea what to use them for. Any ideas or recipes? Thanks!

You can try a fabulous healthy muffin recipe! Google ' Bob's red Mill flaxseed muffins' it's a tad labor intensive- grating apples and carrots- but it's so wholesome and delicious.
It's my morning coffee accompaniment

Flax seeds need to be ground to be digested properly. Otherwise it gets excreted without being broken down and you won't be getting any health benefits. Grind it and throw into smoothies, apple sauce, yogurt etc. It's delicious and very healthy. Enjoy!

You can throw some into granola and mixture of breadcrumbs. I also use it the way I would use instant oatmeal: Let it sit in boiling water for 2 minutes, stir, add milk and dig in. S/t I add ground coconut and when trying to please my sweet tooth I allow chocolate chips to melt in it.
