For DH we settled on John Varvatos Artisan Blu but I'm sure there are many good ones out there. At a certain point, you just buy something because it's so hard to figure out what's the best.

I don't have any favorites- I use the samples I get from buying makeup at Sephora.
Dh doesn't wear cologne.

I love wearing chocolate scent, or barring that, anything that smells delicious. 
DH wears an oil-based scent called Dragon's Blood which I have people buy for me every year at Renn Fair. Whatever's in it...it's fabulous.

I am soo picky with my perfumes, enough that it's quite annoying. Basically only thing that I found I loved was VS Scandulous. They discontinued it though. Also it did have a little of a cheap smell so if anyone knows of any higher end perfumes that are comparable please comment!
My DH doesn't wear any but I really like his deodorant so he keeps buying it lol.
