1. How many are you preparing?
2. How much does the content cost?
3. How much does the packaging cost?
I made 50, the packaging alone is $100, and the content is hard to calculate because it is a pan of homemade cake+something else which I didn't choose yet.

I make 16. Everything together costs under $1.40 each.
Eta- each of my kids can make 5 for their friends and I pay the same for theirs. Under $1.40 each.

I'll be making about 20 or so, excluding a couple of extras for the under-7 crowd.
Packaging is under $1 a piece. I used to try to make beautiful packaging, but those days are gone. Content will be about $10, shelf-stable, not homemade, and including something that everyone I know enjoys.

I bought for 48, including my kids. We won’t use it all. I spent under 2$ each including packaging. And it’s with a theme too. Nothing homemade

I’m making 50. Each one is $3, including packaging which is $1 (usually I try to keep the packaging lower than that).

Can you give ideas of what you put in it? Some of these are so inexpensive and I need ideas how to keep my MM costs down.

Pretzeldog, pickle spear, can of coke. All packaged in a take out container.
BH where I live, no one does these crazy mm and all are packaged very simply. I've never heard of such a thing until imamother and the magazines.

I give as few as possible. Usually 5-8. I don’t subscribe to the practice of giving to all my friends/neighbors. We do the mitzvah and a little more. It usually has something homemade (muffin) and a piece of chocolate. Bags are the cheapest ones that’s michaels sell. I probably spend less than $20 a year

I make 48
My kids make another 40
Plus teachers and rebbes
It adds up
I try to keep my packaging under a certain amount
I buy everything slowly starting from a few weeks ago so I don’t feel the expense.

I bought clear plastic containers with the attached cover, like the type that you can fit four cupcakes into. 25 cents each. ill put a nice napkin in it and put in a mondo, a 20 cent snack bag and a wafer or granola bar and a candy or something. less than a dollar each if I do the wafer.

Usually around 55 at about $4 each (neighbors, teachers and family that we see at seudas only).
Plus 2 at around $20 of homemade seuda food.
And 20 for the kids at around $2 each.
That looks like $300.
