Can you describe the atmosphere/attitude of the cheder/rebbis?
How different would you say they are from Satmar(in terms of treating kids)?
Is hitting considered acceptable discipline method?
Are there staff approachable ?
How is there secular studies?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I don't know anything about Satmar and how or why you would compare any of these chadarim to Satmar, total different wavelength.
Hitting is not acceptable in Vien. Secular studies is ok, better than most chassidishe places even though I'd love certain grades to have better teachers. The principal is new and eager to please.

I don't know a single chassidish school where hitting is allowed.
This is NOT a chassidish thing to do.

When I sent to Munkatch it was officially a no no, but my son used to tell me stories of kids getting hit. But this was about 5 years ago, things may have changed.

If this is your thing, the staff should be approacheble, understanding to the kids not hitting or downgrading, verbel abuse etc. The atmosphere is happy and uplifting, than your best choice would be imrei shefer

I have a son in Munkatch, as do many of my neighbors and friends. As far as I know there is no hitting. The staff is very approachable. This cheder is run by younger folks, who are much more understanding towards todays children and parents. They actually are todays parents. The English department is improving every year. It has a way to go, but that's how it is with most chasidish chedarim, for some reason. Would love for that to change, but not holding my breathe.
