I've seen this salad come up in people's menus in the "what's for the shabbos meal tonight" thread. I would love to get recipes for this salad! Anyone have a recipe?
TIA!

Its in one of the kosher by design books. I basically just make a nice tossed salad with whatever vegies I have -I always add an avacado though. Add crushed terra chips or terra chip stix. I make a dressing with white vinegar, sugar, oil, ketchup and dried chopped onion.

Thanks so much, ladies!
Lani, I looked up the recipe - it's in Kosher Palette. Thanks so much, I'm going to make it for shabbos I"YH. I've seen the recipe before, but somehow it always seemed like it had too many ingredients that I don't normally have in the house, and for some reason it never occurred to me to adapt it according to what I do have. Thanks, I love coming across a new salad recipe!

Sure- I always adapt the recipes to fit in with what I have as long as I have the major ingrediants. I always swap vinegars and spices and I think the salad always come out delicious.

I jsut make it up, I use lettuce, cuc, carrots, bell peppers, tom, avocado, terra strips (or crumpled chips) slivered almonds and dried cranberries. Then I just use a reg dressing if I don't feel like making one, like a creamy italian or vidalia onion dressing.
