Here's a fun one...

If you're a tourist in Israel, does "European Cover" cover the West Bank? Or do you need "Worldwide" for that?

Anyone?

TIA!

I don't know - but Area C of the west bank (which is where you will be be going, unless you are going to Hevron) is not considered Palestinian Territory - so you are probably fine.

Chevron is divided - stay in the Israel controlled parts.

For our insurance purposes, Israel is listed under "Europe". My query is whether we need to extend to "Worldwide" to include the West Bank.

when I first read it for some reason I thought I saw Israel under Europe (the honorary European country it is). On this plan - its not. OP would need world wide coverage for Israel.

Aqua, that's actually very interesting, because Israel is covered under Europe on our policy - but it's the West Bank that we're wondering about...

What does it say about Palestinian Territories? Anything? (again you won't be traveling in Palestinian controlled areas - so I wouldn't worry about it) (The WestBank, and Gaza are in the country of Israel).

(Asking me not to worry about something is like telling the Pope not to be Catholic!)

wouldn't you be using a hospital in Tel aviv or Jerusalem etc if you do need medical care?

Israel is counted as Europe for other things besides Eurovision.

Out of interest, why is Israel considered 'Europe'? It's in Asia...

Probably in terms of risk and level of healthcare. Its more similar to Europe in many respects then other Middle Eastern countries. I guess Insurance companies can make up any rule they want.
