Hi all,
So I got paid today and I bought an ebay gift card for $140. I had my eye on some yom tov essentials for my kids and I was glad to finally be able to order them.
Problem is ebay doesn't seem to recognize the card when I try to make a purchase! I have double-, triple-, and quadruple-checked the code number that I'm supposed to enter, but it keeps saying "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again."
This has been going on since 2:30 this afternoon, which was 10 hours ago. I've attempted repeatedly to enter the number, to no avail.
I have verified with the store where I purchased the card that the card is activated.
The weird thing is that eBay seems to recognize my card without a problem when I check my balance! It shows me $140, the correct balance on the card! So why won't it recognize the code number so that I can place an order?
$140 is a lot of money for me. And I'm also afraid that the items I wanted will no longer be available by the time this is resolved...
Can anybody help me out? Anybody know how to handle this? 😔
