Where can I take DS13 tomorrow? He's off this week. We really wanted to do virtual reality but the places I know of open too late. I need to be back for his younger sibling's bus. Yokey Pokey opens at 2. Jump Into the Light opens at 1- still too late. VR World would not allow my toddler to accompany us. Any other ideas? I suggested Spyscape but he's not interested. He does not want a museum. He nixed Color Factory and 837 Samsung too.

Can you tell me about museum of illusions. Sounds so interesting. Would that be a good dating place?

Great list! Of those mentioned, we've really enjoyed Modern Pinball (usually Groupons are available) and Shipwrecked mini golf in Brooklyn.

We really enjoyed museum of illusions and it’s ok for your toddler. It’s optical illusions and puzzles. Tell him to bring a camera to take pics. They have some really cool rooms set up for really cool picture taking
You can also take lunch along and sit in a nearby park or go out to eat
Walk across the Brooklyn bridge
Ive never been to ocean encounters but that’s for all ages- check groupon
Gullivers gate
Indoor rock climbing- check Groupon
Indoor archery-check Groupon
Horseback riding
Prospect park zoo, botanical gardens and Paddle boating all near each other
Bike riding-you can rent a bike with a seat or attachment for your toddler or those 4 seater bikes in marine park

Have fun

My husband did the ocean exhibit at national geographic with my 15 year old son this bein hazmanim. They had a beautiful time together and really enjoyed it. Their only complaint was that it was too short- they felt that it ran shorter than the amount of time it was supposed to be

Is there any place to do indoor skiing in the NY area? I believe there's supposed to be indoor skiing at the new Met Life mall, but it hasn't opened yet. I've done indoor skiing in Dubai, which was amazing, but I don't know of any other place where it can currently be done, and Dubai is a bit far for a day trip. Smile
