Hi I’m new to monsey and Bh got a job working in Bais yaakov elementary. I’m very happy with my position, but I don’t know anything about the school.
What type of parent body? How Yeshivish? How well established is the school?
I’d love to have a picture in my head of what to expect.

Almost everyone I know who sends there is very happy.
Pretty yeshivish overall.
There are some chassidish/heimish people. I know one Bobov family whose other kids are in Bais Rochel. Another ex chassidish.
Think it is a nice group of kids and not very affected BH.

What do you mean by not affected? By outer influences?

I was under the impression that there is only one Bais yaakov elementary. Are there more?

Yes there are a few I don’t know all of them but for example Bais Yakov Chofetz Chaim is in Pomona. Ateres is also called Ateres Bais Yakov

Bais Yaakov Elementary refers to Portnoy's school aka Bais Yaakov D Spring Valley.

Mindy Rosenberg the principal is a doll. I know her personally and she’s a lovely person to get to know.
I have a coworker that sends there. She is heimish. But she said most are more yeshivish. She’s very happy with the school.

I have a cousin who teaches there and my neighbor is the principal. Everyone I know who sends is super happy.
