Hmmm. I didn't think about it, but now that I'm thinking, salmon and grapes come to mind.

Why would this week's first 2 seudos be different than any other week? I'm making my usual.

For Shalsheudos pre-fast: challah, salmon, pasta salad, corn salad, grapes, watermelon.

1st I never make SS at home
Was planning on meat
So, I can’t serve the same menu 3x

If it’s just me and dh, I’ll make the same dinner and lunch

Not sure yet but definitely not cold cuts/deli. Too salty. Maybe salmon, potato salad, maybe brown rice salad. Dates. Powerade. Grapes. Melon.

I'm going to flip it, and have a lighter lunch and a heavier meal before the fast.

All I've got so far is grilled chicken cutlets. Probably rice and sauteed brussels sprouts. Watermelon for dessert.

I have learned that even if it's on Shabbat, the se'udah hamafseket should not be meat. I am preparing salmon and a tuna casserole. Also, salad and fruit are good before a fast. So is Powerade.

So I’m sure there are some really good quinoa salad recipes.
But now I’m on the 28 day fast metabolism diet and this is what I’m allowed :
Quinoa
Roasted squash, mushroom, onion, eggplant, sweet potato.
Salt pepper garlic powder
You can mix in cabbage or chic peas
