I don't know how people have energy to make homemade rolls. I bought baguettes from the freezer and we'll have some scrambled eggs and soup that I have in the freezer as well. After I had my decaf coffee and some cake.

4.5 hours to go. I'm starving.

Me too. Starving & this thread is making me soooo hungry.
I made for the first time a babka today. Omg I’m drooling

So I was too lazy to bake. We have cake from the bakery.
Then I made the following. Help. Get me outta the kitchen cuz I am on a roll
Minestrone gnocchi soup
Garlic bread - bought
Ramen shakshuka
Salmon cutlets
Kani fried rice.
Baked stuffed potatoes with veggies
Milchig spinach
And now we need something for dessert. Dunno what yet.
I would love love a milkshake. But no place in the freezer for ice cream. My big freezer broke. My small one doesn’t fit anything

Daughter decided to bake cinnamon buns and peanut butter cookies.
I made vegetable soup and will make garlic knots from frozen pizza dough. Then there’s lots of salads, sides from shabbos with whole wheat bread if anyone is still hungry.

Just a totally random question. Why do people say they're going to have
Fresh bread
Fresh hot soup
Fresh salad
Fresh bagels
Fresh muffins...
I get that it's s figure of speech a way of speaking but I truly don't get why. Dosent everybody only eat food that is fresh?
If you don't say fresh nobody is going to assume that you had stale bread spoiled soup soggy salad or stale muffins.

Freshly cooked today as opposed to from the freezer or made before Shabbos. So no, we don't only eat food that I consider fresh. Fresh is not the opposite of spoiled in my lingo.

Except for maybe soup, all of those taste much better freshly made. Nothing wrong with eating them from the freezer or made the day before, but they are on a different level straight out of the oven.

OMG are you me?? I was literally going to say this? Drives me crazy! Obviously no one is serving soggy salad and stale bread. To me, freshness is to be assume and doesn’t need to be specified

so why do we feel the need to specify what day it was made. if someone says theyre eating something I assume it tastes good, who cares what day it was made.
