If shabbos shoes are black, pants are gray or blue, what color socks? (Obviously I do black socks when pants are black.)
If sneakers are blue, and pants are black or green, what color socks?
If shabbos shoes are camel color, pants are navy or black, what color socks?
Thank you!!!

I usually match socks to color pants not to shoes. With long pants u can’t really see the socks anyways

Officially socks should match the the shirt.
Sometimes matching the shoe is better.

It's just easier to only have black socks for a boy.

I wouldn't pair light colored shoe like camel/beige to long dark color pants.
When I shop for shoes, I try to have in mind what color dress/pants it will go to, so they don't clash.
In summer my boys had one light grey pants & black shoes, they wore light grey socks.
Rather wear darker shoes to lighter dress/pants than lighter shoes to darker dress/ pants that's my opinion, that was the general go to rule, but I did see that people that follow trends don't care about such rules & wear black dresses to light pink shoes etc. When pink shoes is in style, it becomes a neutral color to go to everything.

Camel/Caramel shoes with dark pants is very much in fashion right now. Trying to convince my boys (my husband is a lost cause).
Match the socks to either the shoes or the pants. Or wear something wild and contrasting.

My boys only want to wear navy/black socks but somehow for that light grey pants they only wanted to wear the grey socks for shabbos & managed to find their old ones in back of the drawer.

I buy my kids plain black socks. A PKG of 8 pairs- Hanes or something that they all are the same. Makes pairing much simpler.
Occasionally for a wedding or special occasion, I'll buy a pair of cream or camel- matching the pants.

I would do a designed sock that’s black and grey, or blacks and blue.
If sneakers are blue, and pants are black or green, what color socks?
I would do blue socks.
If shabbos shoes are camel color, pants are navy or black, what color socks?
I would do camel, or the same color as the pants.
Thank you!!! |
