I had a craving for pineapple the other day but didnt want to just eat it out of a can so I found a recipe for chicken with it...it was great!!!
1 can of crushed pineapple
1 cup of ketchup (I thought it was too ketchupy so the second time I only used 1/2-3/4 of a cup...much better)
1 cup of brown sugar (I use lite brown)
chicken bottoms (I skin all chicken but u dont have to for this recipe to work)
Directions: place chicken in pan. in a bowl, mix together pineapple with its juice, ketchup and brown sugar. mix well, and pour over chicken. cover tightly and bake at 350 for one hour
delish!

YUM YUM YUM!!! sounds so good! I just ran out to buy crushed pineapple! lets see how it turns out! thanks for the great idea!

That's a fantastic idea! Now I'm craving pineapple too, but I don't mind eating it straight from the can

My dh can’t stand sweet chicken or meat. Or maybe sweet anything, so I’m doomed to shovel it all into my body on my own. Bad bad idea.

actually I have an even easier one....
fry one/two onions - put the chicken on top and throw in a can of pineapple slices
cook on the fire... that's it - - I also throw in potatoes and it's delicious.

I add chunks of onions and green peppers as well as minced garlic.
I also cook it in a big pot on the stove.
And serve over rice.
