The children I work with asked if we could do some exciting a & c for chanuka using food... honestly I’m so bad at this cuz the thought of it is gross. But for kids the more smashed taffies and sandwich cookies with “cream licked off”... the more fun the whole idea is...
Any creative ideas? Pls share! I promised them!
TIA

Why not simple shape and bake cookies? Give them many different cookie cutters and many topping options.

We just made my first-grade son a birthday party. The 'project' was Chanukah food art. We put out wafers, gumdrops, chocolate coins, gummy dreidels, crybaby tears, sour stix, different shaped cereals and cookies, pretzels, and bowls of marshmallow fluff to be the 'glue'... I made a sample of a menorah so the kids could follow that if they wanted to, or could use their imagination to make whatever they wanted. It was a mess, but soooo much fun, and the kids came up with adorable, creative Chanuka related food scenes. I don't think you really need to come up with a specific plan, OP. Just provide a variety of nosh, let them get creative!

Decorate cookies.
My daughter school buys the cooked. Puts out icing. Sprinkles. And other toppings.
