Please help - Need small ramekins

Hi!
My dh will a Shepard and son a sheep. I would like to give out Shepard’s pie. I’m looking for a medium size oven safe ramekin with a lid. I see on amazon in some of them are cast iron- does that create a kashrus issue?

AYLOR because I've heard cast iron can be an issue because they smear fat into it, possibly lard.

We have a cast iron skillet that Rabbi said wasn't an issue, but I could be it's based on the company, so do ask.

Also why don't u just do disposable?

I could do disposable but I want it to be pretty. I was thinking a ramekin with a lid and a small bottle of booze on top with a ribbon. Are there any pretty disposable 6 or 8 oz tins with lids you can show me?

Great idea!

I know you want a lid, but if you can be flexible, they have ceramic ramekins at Pier 1, usually for a dollar.

Many colors, and several lid styles. I felt the lids stayed on pretty well.

Were you going to pipe the mashed potatoes on top?

Ok so I ordered those cups and I got a small wooden basket from Amazing Savings. I made a pretty label on Zazzle to put on top of the container. ill throw in a small whiskey bottle.

Now for the practicalities: I know I can make the meat in advance but do mashed potatoes freeze well? I imagine not... Can I only assemble the cups a day before Purim and reward them on Purim itself? Thanks!

I think the whole thing should freeze fine but try it out first. I've frozen mashed parsnip /white sweet potato and it was fine.

The regular foil pans are very flimsy.
Maybe the 11 oz size will work for me.
