I know there are a lot of threads on this topic, but I'm starting a new thread due to the specific factors. Dd13 would love to do a family theme but each child in my family likes to choose something else, making a theme impossible. However, I was thinking that if I'd order an airbrushed custom personalized article of clothing, such as a sweatshirt, apron, vest, etc. we may be able to work something out. Can anyone suggest a theme that can work for both boys and girls?
One option we are considering is musicians: DS3 and DS6 may like the opportunity to have microphones and instruments, for example. What would a musician costume look like, and what can we airbrush?

Any other suggestions?

We're doing a Mad Libs theme this year. DH wrote up the Purim story like Mad Libs with fill in the blanks. Everyone can dress up exactly how they want and we'll use those costumes as fill ins. For example, my preschooler is obsessed with the movie Frozen even though she's never actually seen it but she's been inundated with images of Anna and Elsa everywhere. She wants to dress up as Elsa so we'll put Elsa as a full in for Queen [female royal]. We're dressing our toddler up as a cute animal and that will be the fill in for Mordechai being paraded around on an [animal]. Our older kids are making their own costumes and we'll incorporate those too. We're still figuring out the food, but there are a few opportunities to insert a food item and that way we can make whatever we want.

You can do something like a circus (ringmaster, ballerina, trapeze artist, lion, elephant, magician ect) a farm (farmer and different farm animals), a zoo (keeper and zoo animals) around the world (each kid picks a county) a wedding (chosson kallah, Bubby waiter, musician ect) or go classic with the Purim story.

Maybe do a band? You can call it 'The Cohen Family Band' - use your last name

Each shirt could be airbrushed with your family band name, a picture of their instrument and the year.

Ideas - drums, keyboard, violin, saxephone etc..

So they would each be a different instrument.

Include the year so it will be a nice memory.
