I want to give nuts out for mishloach manot with beer. Should I give small packages of prepacked nuts or should I fill glass jars with nuts?
Any ideas please let me know. I would like to present it nicely.
Do people actually toss nuts that were repackaged?

People who know you well would probably use repackaged nuts. But personally, I'd prefer not to deal with glass.

Please keep nuts sealed. I prefer when they don’t get all over. Thanjs

Of course the jar would be closed.

How would you know if plastic containers from Amazing Savings are really safe for food?

Good point.
As dankbar says, glass has to be handled with care.

I was just thinking glass over small packages of nuts because the colors of the small packages won’t match with the beer bottle.

You could always get colorful clear wrap if you want to match.

What would you put the beer and nuts into after?

You could also use ribbon to tie the nuts to the neck of the beer bottle

small organza sachet draw string for nuts tied around neck.

nuts can go in clear cellaphone bag for neater look than original packaging.

Glass jar will look prettier than original packaging but need to be more careful.

It seems like some people prefer receiving original pckging here

Original packaging. Putting it in an organza bag can help with coordination. Aside from the kashrus issue, every time you move nuts, you spread dust that you may not see. I would use a MM with a prepackaged nut bag. If they are repackaged, I would likely not use the other things.

Thank you! It’s just interesting how all these instagram businesses are repackaging candy and nuts. I wonder how many people toss these mishloach manot in the garbage?

Re: glass - there is also a possible Tevilas Keilim issue. You may need to toivel (and then wash, dry, etc.) all those glass jars before putting food directly into them.

When I sent a similar MM, I added nuts packs from Costco.

Last year I gave out beer with 3 small plastic containers filled with assorted nuts/chocolate and I also wondered if people ate it or just chucked it out. This year I am going to stick with prepackaged items. I found on Amazon pistachio in small black bags which look nicer than the peanuts packaging.

Make your own label to tape onto the beer bottle.

You cant please everyone with mm, as we see from all of these threads. But yes, people will be more likely to throw this out then prepackaged. I think it is more important to give food that people will actually eat, than lose focus and worry about colors matching. Or, be selective with who you give it to and only give to people you know will not toss it.
