I didn't answer because my answer is that it really depends on the event. I love the siddur/chumash play, bas mitzvah celebration and graduations. I don't like the smaller Purim or Chanukah performances and the random evening events.

I love them. But in my kids school they are usually right at the beginning of the school day so its not disruptive to my day.
