Amothers who live in Israel and usually return to the States or Europe for Pesach, are you changing your plans? Or are you planning for self-isolation upon your return?

Lol I'm planning for self isolation at any minute w/o having gone anywhere.
Happens to many people every day now.
It's like one minute you have a life and the next minute you can't leave your bedroom (or apartment depending on who lives with you).

My flight not canceled yet to Israel

If I back out now, I get back my money minus $479 penalty. I don't get to back out and get back my money entirely just because of quarantine issues. It's my choice.

What an awful choice! $479 is basically half my ticket!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think that they are not supposed to be on any form of public transportation including taxis.
When does his flight land? They probably won't make this decision until later on in the day.

Maybe he can hire a car? We were in Israel last week and we hired our own. Didn't take any public transport.

I think that would be a good option except that someone else will have to return it for him if he's in quarantine for 2 weeks. They will have to disinfect it too before driving it back

A lot of airlines are waiving fees to reschedule due to COVID19.

How can anyone know when to reschedule for? We don't know that is happening with this.

The general policy is that if you cancel due to Corona, they will let you rebook at a later time. Of course see your specific airline for details. And Dan's Deals website has a post summarizing a bunch of them.
