Seeing as schools are not going to refund any tuition even if they are closed for months, I’m wary of paying for camp and then ending up in the same boat (that they don’t open and won’t give me a refund). Any advice?

Camps didn't give any statements yet if they'll be opening or not. It's impossible to know now.

I don't think that's something any of us can know right now. Personally I have not signed up a couple of my kids to camp yet, and at this point I don't plan on signing them up until much closer to the summer to ensure that the programs to actually open.

If you'd ask this question a month ago, you'd get eyeroll responses. So much has happened since then. How can anyone predict a week from now, Pesach, Shvuous, or camp?
I booked tickets to Meron to Rashbi for Lag Bomer and am clueless what the future holds!

Private schools aren't held very accountable to the 180 school days law and public schools have all transitioned to remote learning. Nobody I know is extending the school year.

Meron is not happening this year. You don't need a crystal ball. Isreal is not going to risk a resurgence if the cornavirus calms down.

My son goes to HASC, where there are plenty of fragile kids. I doubt they will open, so I'm ignoring their requests for deposits right now.
