We are using this time to build a deck extension to our porch.
We ordered the material and it got delivered today. The kids spent half the day helping it to the back- helping my handy brothers.
Then they watched the measurements unfold.

Is it really worth that much??? It’s a fortune! But at this point if it’s something that can keep kids busy for a while each day it might be worth the money..

We woke up late today. My kids painted the sun catchers I bought for them, watched a concert, ate lunch, cleaned their rooms for pesach, and now they are watching something.

Now they ate dinner and we made some (very imperfect) planters out of popsticks. Put some seeds and beans on wet paper towels and we’ll do some planting tomorrow.

Took a long drive in the car to nowhere, took a bath in shaving cream, made moonsand by mixing flour and baby oil. Bought a second step it up dance pad and now my two teen boys are dancing away!

I just opened it and I'm very disappointed to see that you can't put in headphones. There's no point. I'm going to return it.

No amounts! Each kid got a 9x13 with flour and a bottle of oil and made their own concoction! It was great!

Today my 3 older kids all have classwork and assignments to do, and I’m starting a Haggadah with my 3 year old.

So far I taught haggadah.. one kid called school hotline so far..
kids listened to rabbi juravel
Other ideas I've done over the past few days-
window markers- u can let your kids color ur windows or car- and it washes it off easily
sand art
painting (I had diff wood things - I.e. butterfly, flowers etc.. from dollar store and kids painted those)
painted sun catchers
outdoor play-swingset, bikes, scooters etc.. (it's raining here today so we can't do any of that..)
freeze dance
coloring pesach pages (chabad.org) has a lot of good pages
perla beads
(I ordered kinetic sand plus a couple of other crafts from amazon.. but delivery is really slow now..)
Open to all orig ideas. .as I feel like the ideas are getting used up faster than I can come up w/ them..
(anon just bec I told ppl in real life my ideas so don't wanna out myself)

so far today:
hard dot to dots, hour of class for older dd, less for younger one, they played on the new aerial swing I bought them (we already had the hooks from a different swing we have in the basement), we went bike riding...
