Don't waste your time trying to call your local unemployment hotline. (There are people who call 300 times a day and don't get through.) Instead, here are ideas from Facebook groups that actually work:

Step 1. Call the local Governor's office and ask to get transferred to Unemployment. If you have to wait on hold for more than an hour, go to step #2.

Step 2. Call your local state Senator's office (or email) and ask them to contact your unemployment office and have the unemployment office call you.

Step 3. Call your local state Assemblyman's office (or email) and ask them to contact your unemployment office and have the unemployment office call you.

Remember to apply even if you were self-employed.

I applied 3 weeks ago online. I need to speak to a representative to complete my claim. Hah. I can't call them. They need to call me. Still waiting.

Wondering if I'm allowed to apply again. They changed the application since I originally applied. It's smoother now.

This is what I am telling you. If you follow the steps above, the Dept. of Labor for your state will call you within 3 days. Just do as I say.

Simcha Felder is my state Senator. His phone number is 718-253-2015. His email is felder@nysenate.gov

My state Assemblyman is Simcha Eichenstein. His office is in Boro Park so maybe it's yours also. His number is 718-853-9616. His email address is EichensteinS@nyassembly.gov

Just got an answer from Eichenstein. Told me to call the office and he sent in a form on my behalf. Number is 718 853 9616

Can you help with the questions?
One of the questions is did you work the week of——
We answered no
The next question is did you earn more than 504 that week we answered no ( if we did not work how did we earn anything)
Then we got a false next to it. And now we can’t continue and noone has called

Why is it saying false? I don’t understand.

Anyone know...
The message in inbox says I must call to complete the claim but obviously I can't get thru to anyone. What am I supposed to do. I tried calling my local unemployment office, also no one there
