The paper around every crayon is in the color of that crayon with black stripes. The black crayon has white paper with black stripes why?

I don't have an answer, but I am pretty sure that the wrapper of the green crayon is yellowish.🙃

Why do any of them need the color to match the crayon? You can already see what color the crayon is.

They should have like a red wrapper on the green crayon and a pink wrapper on the black crayon. That would be so much fun!

Other brands are a little more basic but in Crayola a lot of the colors don't quite match. But it does make it easier to pick out the one you need when they're not in a standing-up box and you're mostly seeing the sides.

I think I remember hearing at the Crayola factory that they have just a few colors of wrappers compared to how many crayon colors there are. Several shades of blue, for instance, are going to have the same shade of wrapper. I think. Now I need to find a large pack of crayons to check into this.

And since they do make matching wrappers, why in heavens name do they not actually match? You know what it's like when you're trying to coose out the 5 different shades of red, and you have to do that liitle scribble in the margin of your paper to see what it actually looks like? What's up with that?

They should come in a white wrapper with a little bit of the crayon color scribbled on it with an actual crayon.

I thought this thread was gonna be how you identify with it and feel along. How it makes a strong statement, is not very liked, and feels singled out.....
Phew, it’s only about the wrapper!
