If you file for PUA (due to lack of childcare), your boss isn't required to rehire you, correct?

PUA has nothing to do with rehiring. It’s for ppl who don’t qualify for regular UI or have run out of UI benefits. You must first apply for UI and be rejected before applying for PUA. If you haven’t applied for UI yet you’re automatically ineligible for PUA.

Don’t think that is true from what I understood it’s just two different reasons why you are unemployed traditional unemployment is due to lack of work where as pua is due to lack of childcare or caring for person who has covid19
